Florida is considered a tropical paradise and with reason! Everywhere you look, there’s a breathtaking place to explore. Although commonly chosen for Disney World, Miami Beach, or any beach place, this state also has a comprehensive list of underrated places newlyweds may thoroughly enjoy honeymooning! There is so much to explore and meet in Florida, whether you are a new couple looking for adventure, or a seasoned married pair just hoping to take in the beautiful scenery for some anniversary R & R. Newlyweds scouring the internet for an inspired honeymoon destination should seriously consider exploring these not-so-popular but equally impressive Florida vacation spots.

1. Florida Caverns State Park, Marianna

There is a beauty behind exploring caverns; ask Indiana Jones. Caverns have cool and crisp air, water falling in their corners, mystifying stalactites, and stalagmites. The Florida Caverns State Park is perfect for adventurers. You can go on a carven tour or decide to explore by yourself. This is also a budget-friendly honeymoon spot at only $5 per vehicle.

2. Devil’s Den Prehistoric Spring, Williston

Tulum might be known for some magnificent dens and cenotes, but here in Florida, we have a unique version of it. The Devil’s Den, located near Gainesville, is a rare natural wonder that will blow your mind. You can even do scuba and snorkeling here. When in the area, make room to explore neighboring spots, including Gennie Springs and Madison Blue Spring State Park.

3. The Dali Museum, St. Petersburg (pictured above)

St. Pete does have a solidified reputation as a vacation destination, but an iconic landmark in town can provide a specific excursion to plan your trip around. If you’re into art and/or museums, you’ll be enraptured by the Salvador Dalí Museum. The surrealist Spanish Artist Salvador Dali may have the most beautiful museum in the southeastern United States. Located right on the coastline of the Tampa Bay, near parks, beaches and a variety of Michelin star worthy restaurants along Beach Drive, “The Dali” houses the most extensive collection of Salvador Dali’s artwork outside of Europe.

4. Venetian Pool, Coral Gables

If you want to explore Miami and some commercial places, add this to your list. The Venetian Pool in Coral Gables is a magnificent place to have a family outing and see what nature gives us. The Venetian Pool is a historic public swimming pool with water from underground artesian wells. The water stays cool at around 76 degrees year-round, making it perfect for hot summer days.

5. Castillo de San Marcos, St. Augustine

St. Augustine is the oldest city in America. With one-of-a-kind architecture, it’s perfect to learn about Florida’s history. Don’t miss the Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest masonry fort in the continental US. The fort area has plenty of tourist spots to visit around and daily tours that talk all about its rich history.
