Make Your Wedding Day Dream Become a Reality at St. Augustine’s World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum

Are you recently engaged and looking for the perfect venue to have your wedding? Look no more! We spoke with Elizabeth Hall McKenna, Manager of Sales & Events at St. Augustine’s World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum about their property and what makes them unique. Here is what she had to say.

What do you love the very most about what you do? I love how every event is different, and you get to see your space transformed by each event.  I love meeting new people, hearing stories and making lifelong connections. It is so much fun to see our couples grow even more together after marriage.

Will you be on-site during the entire reception until the very end? We will have a venue coordinator on site until the end of the event.

Tell the brides-to- be your best wedding advice. Make decisions and don’t look back. You will drive yourself crazy with Pinterest and second guessing. Also, this is your one day and you need to try your best to not stress.  This can be helped by a day of wedding coordinator so you can just relax. Enjoy the moment as it goes so quickly.  Finally, make sure you hire a good photographer as those pictures are what you will have to look back on.

What is your most favorite wedding trend right now? I love timeless weddings.  Those you will look back on in 20 years and still love.  White and gold is classic and on trend.

What do you do that makes you stand out more so than others in your industry? I relate to my brides as I went through this recently.  I know it is stressful and expensive.  I try to help my brides get the best experience at an affordable cost. Our venues’ beauty helps our brides save cost and allows them to splurge in other areas.

What is your favorite product or service that you offer brides? Please describe it. I love our Pool of Unity area.  It is the perfect ceremony and reception site.  It offers breathtaking views with sunsets, beautiful architecture, a map of the world water feature and a grand romantic feeling.

Do you offer any other products or services? We have over 13 locations that we rent on property from our Tower (tallest point in St. Johns County) to our 18-hole natural grass putting course and TPC Sawgrass 17^th Replica hole.

Will you have an assistant during the wedding? We have a facilities manager and 2 volunteers on property with an entire custodial team.

How far in advance should a bride to be contact you before the wedding? At least a year out is when we start booking up.  Sometimes we have some openings left after but the popular dates go quick.

What are some of your specialties? Sunset ceremonies, tallest point in St. Johns County and One-of-a-kind venue

How long have you been doing what you do? 5 years at the Hall of Fame but 12 years in the industry.
