The Inn is in St. Augustine’s beautiful historic district, on the shimmering Matanzas Bay—a picture perfect location, offering convenient lodging for the wedding party as well as a lovely backdrop for your ceremony.

Our award-winning bed and breakfast offers multiple locations for your perfect day, allowing you to choose the setting that best defines you. From intimate elopements for two, to elegant and timeless affairs up to 60 people, we look forward to customizing your day.

If you have up to 60 guests, we suggest celebrating your union in one of St. Augustine’s most authentic Spanish Colonial homes. Our Sanchez House was built in 1791, and is the perfect backdrop for a stunning, once-in-a-lifetime celebration. From exposed hand-hewn beams, to the stone wall surrounding the garden, the house is full of beautiful spaces that will serve as the perfect starting point for your wedding vision. The house is so authentic it is documented in the Library of Congress, noted as one one of the Historically Important Houses in the United States.

Your Perfect Day

Your wedding day can start as early as 8:00am in the Sanchez House—the bridal party can get ready in the beautiful second floor of the house, complete with an antique bar and great light for makeup and photos. The first floor can be used as a groom’s room, with an electric fireplace and cozy seating area. Both areas are perfect for unique getting-ready photography.

The house has been updated with charming (but modern!) bathrooms on each floor, and there is a modern full kitchen on the first floor as well. You can have our catering team provide dinner, or you can choose an outside caterer of your choice—either way, the kitchen can be used to ensure the food is hot and fresh for your reception.

Your guests will love the authentic charm of this home—and will “ooh” and “ahh” over its 200-year-old stone walls, huge antique mirrors, and open beamed ceilings and wrought iron chandeliers. You can exchange vows in the enclosed courtyard, in front of a hand carved stone cross that was found on the property; or in the front yard with the bay in the background.

The Sanchez House accommodates up to 60 people on the lawn or in the courtyard (we can tent the area in case of inclement weather) or 40 people for an indoors sit-down dinner or buffet on the second floor of the house. Both live music and deejays are permitted.

For smaller parties (up to 30 guests), we offer ceremonies in our romantic Victorian gazebo, decorated with gauze curtains, elegant greenery, and white bows. Our award-winning gardens provide a beautiful setting for your guests to visit and celebrate your day.

Ask about additional décor options for your wedding—we are happy to decorate using your chosen colors, using our in-house florist or your own. Most gazebo events are held during the afternoon; our catering team is happy to provide light bites for your guests to enjoy while you are taking photographs or just spending some quality time together.

Just the Two of You

Looking for something simpler? Our wedding coordinator is happy to help you with that as well. Choose to marry in front of our fountain, on our waterfront deck, in the gazebo, or on the sand at Vilano Beach. If you’re a beach girl (or guy!) at heart, we have beautiful 8 suites on Vilano so you will be just steps away from a lovely ceremony. We prepare the beach with an arch and greenery, letting the ocean take center stage for décor.

Weddings on Vilano are a maximum of 20 people.
