Why do you love what you do?

What makes you different from others in your industry?

I am one of 61 Master Bridal Consultants™ in the world, and as a senior member of the Association of Bridal Consultants I am proud to abide by their Code of Ethics. In addition to owning First Coast Weddings for 10 years, I have worked at hotels, country clubs and theme parks in my career, giving me a unique perspective on the industry. I also attend 2-3 conferences each year, to stay on top of new trends, products, and ideas.

What is your best wedding advice?

My best advice to brides and grooms is not about the wedding. It’s about their relationship. Couples can easily get wrapped up in their wedding plans, and focus on a one-day event rather than their life-long commitment to each other. I encourage couples to make time for each other, to spend time talking to each other about things other than the wedding, and especially to seek pre-marital counseling. While the wedding is an important day, there will be many more – when they buy their first home, when they land their dream job, when their children are born.
