Jacksonville Florida is an amazing city with hundreds of great photo locations.  With the largest urban park system in the USA…Jacksonville is nothing short of lush backgrounds, water views and scenic backdrops.  If nature is not your thing, there are many ideal neighborhoods with interesting buildings and fun murals that provide a hometown background.  Below is a list of our favorite sites photographers use for engagement photos!

Jacksonville:

  • Riverside and Avondale: These historic neighborhoods are known for their beautiful tree-lined streets, historic homes, and charming parks, making them perfect for romantic and picturesque engagement photos.
  • Jacksonville Beach: Capture the magic of your love against the backdrop of Jacksonville’s stunning coastline. Whether you’re walking hand in hand along the shore or watching the sunset together, the beach offers endless opportunities for breathtaking photos.
  • Friendship Fountain: Located in Downtown Jacksonville’s St. Johns River Park, Friendship Fountain is a beloved landmark and a popular spot for engagement photos. The fountain and surrounding park provide a scenic backdrop with views of the river and skyline.
  • Hanna Park- Atlantic Beach:  has beach and ocean access, walking trails and wooded bridge walk ways amiss the coastal hammock of the trees.
  • Big Talbot Island – Boneyard Beach: All of the iconic images of driftwood trees washed up on the beaches come from this location.
  • Nature Trails: Jacksonville is known for it’s 80,000 acres of parks!  More then 400 city parks and 7 state parks alone…offer a lot of photo ops.
  • Treaty Oak: Estimated at 250 years old, this large Southern Live Oak provides great photo moments.
  • Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens: with native plants, trees and ponds, the photo opportunities are endless!
  • Jacksonville Riverwalk: North bank or South Bank provides river views with the Jacksonville city skyline in backdrop.
  • Cummer Museum & Gardens:  The gardens and views of the St. Johns River are the best in the city!
