Owning DeeLee Productions, I get to meet such amazing and diverse people in my line of work. I’m always fascinated by their personalities and ideas. Seeing a couple or a family that is genuinely in love always reminds me of why I do what I do. It restores my faith in humanity.
What makes DeeLee Productions different…
I don’t make my brides buy the rights to their images after a session. I give it to them. In my opinion, I’ve been hired to supply pictures of a truly memorable and priceless moment in my client’s life. I’m honored to be given that chance and I hate the idea that my bride may not be able to afford the rights to her own wedding (or engagement) pictures. So, I struck out with the notion that I needed to run my business differently than other photographers. And I do. Every session, no matter how big or small, comes with the rights to those pictures. That gives the bride endless venues to have them printed, turned into calendars or tee-shirts, and doesn’t limit her to just what I can offer her.
The best wedding advice they give…
Listen to yourself. Everyone has opinions on how your wedding should be, what the meaning is, and so on. Figure out early on what really matters to you about planning your wedding. Is it the cake? The dress? Be hands-on with those aspects of planning. Do you not know a petunia from a poppy? Couldn’t care what thelinens looked like? Then appoint family members or friends to take the reins on those aspects.
Just be sure to have the final word. It is your wedding, after all.
Where does your photography pricing start?
My prices never go above $1000 for a single session; in fact, several sessions can be combined and still be under that $1000 price point.
